To import your dog or cat into the Cayman Islands you will need an Import Permit issued
​ by the Cayman Islands Department of Agriculture (CIDOA)

Import Permit 

Requirements
The Pet Import Requirements for the Cayman Islands must have the following documentation
  1. Microchip Certificate with the implant date (must be day of or before the day of the Rabies vaccination)
  2. Rabies Vaccination (given to puppy no less than 12 weeks old)
  3. Blood Draw for FAVN TItre Test (must be 30 DAYS AFTER the Rabies vaccination and no less than 12months old from the date the blood was drawn)
  4. Proof of Annual Vaccinations-
Additionally to start a file with DOA for a Pet Import Permit
  • Animal Forms and Files to be lodged at CIDOA
  • Animal photo of full body and face to be lodged at CIDOA
  • Import Permit fees to be paid to the C.I. Government ( DOA only accept cheque or cash)
  • All Animals will require an Endorsed International Health Certificate from their departure country​​
Date of Eligibility to enter the Cayman Islands is determined
​ from the pets country of origin.
